Todd Candy

I’m 18 years old and come from a 5 hectare lifestyle block in the Masterton were I went to MPS primary school, Masterton intermediate and Wairarapa College were I completed NCEA level one and two. Through the gateways program at Wairarapa College I was lucky enough to get out on Thistle top farm with Mark Buick once a week and after a year there I new that farming was what wanted to do. 

After Laurence Burkin came to my school and did a speech on Waipaoa Farm Cadet Training Trust I got all the information as I could and came up for the open day. I am now a first year cadet at Waipaoa and working toward Agriculture level one two and three. In my own time I like to get out hunting go diving and fishing. After my two years at Waipaoa I want to work on a large station with heaps of stock work. I would also love to be apart of a autumn muster and experience some of the high country the south island has to offer.
