Mark Bengston

I am 18 years old and come from Woodville off a life style block. I started off my education at Kumeroa/Hopelands primary school. Then moved on to Tararua College to complete NCEA level one, two and three.

I have always been set on farming as a career. I enjoy the lifestyle that comes with farming and just being outside and working with stock and dogs. Before I came up to Waipaoa I spent most of my time working on local farms in my area. One of my main hobbies for the last few years now has been breeding and showing poultry. When I have finished my two years at Waipaoa I would like to travel around New Zealand and work on different kinds of stations and farming operations. With the plan of me ending up as a farm manager on a large sheep and beef farm.
