I come from a 950 acre rolling country farm in Central Hawkes Bay 20 minutes from Waipukurau. The farm runs a Coopworth stud and a few bulls.

I went to Central Hawkes Bay College and spent five years there, playing rugby and cricket in my first year. I also made championship running and athletic teams. However, my main sport was swimming, which I did for six years, and it took me around the country competing in national and regional competitions. I completed level two NCEA and am working on level three. I studied Biology, Physics, Maths, Physical Education, Metalwork and woodwork.

In my spare time I like to go surfing, diving and playing a bit of rugby.

I found out about Waipaoa from a friend at school, who was coming up for the open day. I like the sound of it so we travelled up on a Sunday and from that point I was dead keen on getting a cadetship.

After Waipaoa I would like to be working on a high country station down south with lots of horse and dog work doing big musters. But I’m still thinking about attending Lincoln and furthering my agricultural skills.
