James Hurley

Hi my name is James Hurley. I have been bought up on a sheep and beef farm roughly 2000 acres in the Hunterville hill country. I went to the local primary school Otairi before heading down to Masterton where i attended Rathkeale College for my secondary years. While at Rathkeale i pursued my sporting passion playing 79 games for the 1st XI cricket and 85 for the 1st XI hockey.

Farming has always been a passion of mine and therefore gaining admission to Waipaoa has been one of my greatest achievements to date. Following my time at Waipaoa i wish to either go to university at Massey or Lincoln or take on a position as a shepherd on a sheep and beef farm.

My ultimate goal is to buy and run the family farm but along the journey work in areas such as Gisborne, Taihape and southern King country.
